  Each city leaderboard pulls the top restaurants from Google Places using a "top restaurants in {city}" text search biased to the city centroid, keeps the top 10 results, then sorts by Google star rating (descending) with total review count as the tie-break. This hub aggregates the 59 boards we track for restaurants. The full dataset is published as open data (CC-BY-4.0) at biglove.to/hyperlocal-summary.json.

  Across the 59 cities on this page, the median review count of a board's #10 spot is 1,145 reviews. The spread is wide: Quebec City is the steepest board (9,892 reviews just to enter) while Richardson is the gentlest (59).
